Terms of Service

Last updated: December 15, 2025

Welcome to Doodl, operated by Starlight Creative LLC, doing business as “Doodl” (“Doodl,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Doodl mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using Doodl, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About Doodl

Doodl is a creative drawing and reflection app designed to inspire daily artistic expression and mindful creativity. Each day, users receive a new prompt that encourages them to draw, reflect, and share their creations within a positive, community-driven environment.

The app allows users to upload their doodls, write personal reflections, connect with friends, and track creative streaks over time. Users can choose whether to keep their creations private or share them publicly. Doodl fosters consistency, connection, and self-expression by blending art, journaling, and social interaction in a safe and encouraging space.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Doodl. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

If you are using Doodl on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and to keep it up to date.

You may delete your account at any time within the app, which will remove your user data and uploaded content in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. User Content and Ownership

4.1 Your Rights

You retain full ownership of all drawings (“doodls”), reflections, and other content you create and upload to Doodl (“User Content”).

4.2 Our Limited License

By posting or uploading content, you grant Doodl a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content within the app and related Doodl platforms to operate and improve the Service.

If you mark your doodl as public, you also grant Doodl the right to use, reproduce, and display your public doodls and reflections for marketing, promotional, and social media purposes, always with proper attribution where feasible.

You may revoke this license by deleting your content or account.

5. Prohibited Conduct

To keep Doodl a safe and inspiring space, you agree not to:

  • Upload or share any AI-generated art or content created primarily through automated tools.

  • Post any material that promotes hate speech, violence, discrimination, or harassment.

  • Use bots, scripts, or automation to interact with the platform.

  • Interfere with the Service or attempt to access unauthorized areas of the platform.

  • Violate any applicable laws or infringe upon others’ rights.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. Moderation and Account Termination

Doodl reserves the right to monitor, review, or remove any content at our discretion if we believe it violates these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You repeatedly violate community guidelines.

  • You engage in fraudulent, harmful, or illegal activity.

  • You use the platform in a way that interferes with others’ experience.

7. Payments and Purchases

Doodl offers both one-time payments and subscription-based donations to support the platform and its continued development.

7.1 One-Time Payments via Stripe

You may make voluntary, one-time donations or purchases of digital items (“web goods”) through Stripe, our secure payment processor.

All Stripe transactions are processed in accordance with Stripe’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Doodl does not store or have access to your full payment information.

All one-time payments are non-refundable, except where required by law.

7.2 Subscriptions via RevenueCat

Doodl offers optional recurring donation subscriptions managed through RevenueCat. These subscriptions renew automatically at the interval selected (e.g., monthly or yearly), unless you cancel through your device’s app store or account settings prior to renewal.

RevenueCat handles subscription management and billing, and you can view, manage, or cancel your subscriptions at any time through your platform’s subscription settings (Apple App Store or Google Play Store).

No physical or tangible goods are provided — these are donation-based digital contributions to support the app’s mission and development.

7.3 Pricing and Taxes

All prices are displayed in your local currency (where supported). You are responsible for any applicable taxes or fees related to your transactions.

7.4 Refunds

Because donations and web goods support app development and are delivered immediately, payments are generally non-refundable. However, we will comply with refund requirements under applicable law or the policies of your app store provider.

8. Intellectual Property

All non-user content within Doodl — including logos, designs, prompts, text, code, and interface elements — is owned or licensed by Starlight Creative LLC and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written consent.

9. Privacy

Your use of Doodl is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

By using Doodl, you agree to the practices outlined in that policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Doodl is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.

We make no guarantees regarding availability, reliability, or accuracy, and disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Starlight Creative LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use or inability to use Doodl, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service will not exceed the total amount you paid to Doodl in the preceding 12 months.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Starlight Creative LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of your use of Doodl or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in Montana for resolving any disputes related to your use of the Service.

14. International Use

Doodl is accessible worldwide, but we make no representation that the Service is appropriate or lawful in all locations.

Users are responsible for compliance with local laws where they reside or access the app.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the most recent revision.

Significant changes will be communicated through the app or by email where possible. Continued use of Doodl after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
