Terms of Service

Last updated: July 8th, 2026

Welcome to Doodl, operated by Starlight Creative LLC, doing business as “Doodl” (“Doodl,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Doodl mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By accessing or using Doodl, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About Doodl

Doodl is a creative drawing and reflection app designed to inspire daily artistic expression and mindful creativity. Each day, users receive a new prompt that encourages them to draw, reflect, and share their creations within a positive, community-driven environment.

The app allows users to upload their doodls, write personal reflections, connect with friends, and track creative streaks over time. Users can choose whether to keep their creations private or share them publicly. Doodl fosters consistency, connection, and self-expression by blending art, journaling, and social interaction in a safe and encouraging space.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Doodl. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

If you are using Doodl on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account — including a valid email address and a secure password — and to keep that information up to date. Doodl accounts are created using email and password only.

You may delete your account at any time within the app, which will remove your user data and uploaded content in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

4. User Content and Ownership

4.1 Your Rights

You retain full ownership of all drawings (“doodls”), reflections, and other content you create and upload to Doodl (“User Content”).

4.2 Our Limited License

By posting or uploading content, you grant Doodl a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute your content within the app and related Doodl platforms to operate and improve the Service.

If you mark your doodl as public, you also grant Doodl the right to use, reproduce, and display your public doodls and reflections for marketing, promotional, and social media purposes, always with proper attribution where feasible.

You may revoke this license by deleting your content or account.

5. Prohibited Conduct

To keep Doodl a safe and inspiring space, you agree not to:

  • Upload or share any AI-generated art or content created primarily through automated tools.

  • Post any material that promotes hate speech, violence, discrimination, or harassment.

  • Use bots, scripts, or automation to interact with the platform.

  • Interfere with the Service or attempt to access unauthorized areas of the platform.

  • Violate any applicable laws or infringe upon others’ rights.

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. Moderation and Account Termination

Doodl reserves the right to monitor, review, or remove any content at our discretion if we believe it violates these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You repeatedly violate community guidelines.

  • You engage in fraudulent, harmful, or illegal activity.

  • You use the platform in a way that interferes with others’ experience.

7. Payments and Purchases

Doodl offers one-time purchases of digital items, as well as optional donation subscriptions to support the platform's continued development. Payment processing depends on your device platform, as described below.

7.1 Payment Processors by Platform

iOS. All in-app purchases — including premium backgrounds, color packs, one-time donations, and donation subscriptions — are processed through RevenueCat, which integrates with the Apple App Store. Your payment information is handled securely by Apple and RevenueCat. Doodl does not store or have access to your full payment card information.

Android. One-time purchases of premium backgrounds and color packs, as well as one-time donations, are processed through Stripe. Donation subscriptions on Android are processed through RevenueCat, which integrates with the Google Play Store. Your payment information is handled securely by Stripe (for one-time transactions) and by Google Play and RevenueCat (for subscription donations). Doodl does not store or have access to your full payment card information.

Google Pay. When completing a Stripe purchase, you may have the option to pay using Google Pay. If you choose to use these methods, your payment is processed by Apple or Google respectively, subject to their own privacy policies.

For more information about our payment processors, please review their respective policies:

7.2 Premium Background Purchases

You may purchase premium digital backgrounds ("premium backgrounds") as one-time transactions. Upon completing a purchase, the background is unlocked in your account permanently. Premium background purchases are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or the policies of your app store provider.

7.3 Color Pack Purchases

You may purchase color packs (curated color palettes for use in the in-app drawing tool) as one-time transactions. Individual color packs and bundled color pack collections are available for purchase. Upon completing a purchase, the pack is permanently unlocked in your account. Color pack purchases are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or the policies of your app store provider.

7.4 Donation Subscriptions

Doodl offers optional recurring donation subscriptions for users who wish to support the app's mission and development. These are voluntary contributions and do not unlock additional features beyond what is already available through separate one-time purchases.

Donation subscriptions renew automatically at the selected interval (e.g., monthly or yearly) unless cancelled prior to the renewal date. You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

No physical or tangible goods are provided as part of a donation subscription.

7.5 Pricing and Taxes

All prices are displayed in your local currency where supported. You are responsible for any applicable taxes or fees related to your transactions.

7.6 Refunds

Premium background purchases and color pack purchases are non-refundable as the content is delivered immediately upon purchase. Donation subscriptions are also non-refundable, though you may cancel at any time to prevent future charges. We will comply with refund requirements under applicable law or the policies of your app store provider.

8. Push Notifications

Doodl may request permission to send you push notifications to your device. These may include reminders about the daily prompt, activity on your doodls (such as likes or comments), streak milestones, friend activity, and platform announcements.

Push notifications are entirely optional. You may enable or disable them at any time through your device's notification settings or within the Doodl app. Disabling push notifications does not affect your ability to use any part of the Service.

9. Intellectual Property

All non-user content within Doodl — including logos, designs, prompts, text, code, and interface elements — is owned or licensed by Starlight Creative LLC and protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written consent.
