Three smartphones display the Doodl app with different interfaces: one with a gallery of doodles, one with a daily prompt to draw a potted plant from an alien planet, and the third with user profile and categories of Doodles and Freestyles, featuring various doodle images.

Trade the doom-scroll for a morning scribble.

In a world flooded with pixel-perfect AI generation, there is something radical about a hand-drawn line. Doodl™ is a sanctuary for the wonky, the weird, and the wonderfully human. One prompt, 24 hours, and a community of real people seeing the world through their own unique lens. We don’t care if you haven’t picked up a pencil since the third grade—we just want to see how you see it.

We’re reclaiming a corner of the web for actual human beings. No "generating," no shortcuts, and absolutely no AI. Doodl is a social sketchbook built on a simple premise: give everyone the same prompt and marvel at the hundreds of different ways a human brain can interpret it. It’s the antidote to the instant-everything age. It’s slow, it’s thoughtful, and it’s ours.

The internet is full of bots. Doodl is full of humans.

Want a peek behind the pencil?

I'm Stephanie, the one-person team behind Doodl. This is where I share what I'm building, what I'm learning, and the people making art in our community.

I'll only show up in your inbox when it's worth it — and I'll never sell your data. Your data belongs to you, always.

What people are saying:

  • "It has been a long time since I have felt like there were real people on the internet."

  • "I wanted to get back into drawing this year but I never know what to draw. Then a friend sent me a link to the app WHICH IS EXACTLY what I'm looking for!"

  • "This app is super inspirational and keeps me motivated within the arts!"

  • "Aside from being an opportunity to make and share art, it’s also a place to connect with others, experience a rich variety of perspectives, and develop/practice empathy. What a radical concept that is these days."

  • "It's so nice to have a place where I can work on my skills without feeling judged. In fact, this community makes me feel encouraged!"

  • "I don't use any other social media, this app just happened to be the perfect amount of 'social' for me since it focuses on the doodley parts."

How it works:

A simple black line drawing of a skydiver with a sad face, falling towards a body of water. A rainbow is present on the left side, and a speech bubble says, "Sad ribbit for there is no wind today."
Cartoon black cat wearing a pink party hat with purple polka dots, sitting with its back facing forward
